The sun had set an hour ago, but the darkness that now blanketed French Polynesia was unlike any Kuto had ever experienced. There was an eerie quality to the darkness, as if it were alive and lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike. Kuto’s heart pounded in his chest as he nervously scanned his surroundings, searching for any sign of danger.
He had been warned about this place by the locals; they said that it was cursed and that evil spirits roamed its shores. But Kuto hadn’t believed them… until now. He could feel something watching him, stalking him through the darkness. And try as he might, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was not alone on this island anymore…
Suddenly, a branch snapped nearby, causing Kuto to jump in terror. His heart racing, he spun around wildly trying to locate the source of the noise. But there was nothing there; only silence and darkness met his gaze.
Shaking uncontrollably, Kuto started to back away slowly from where he thought the noise had come from. But before he could take more than a few steps, something grabbed onto him from behind!
