Kuto was born on the small island of Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Life was hard on the remote island and there wasn’t much to do. Kuto spent his days fishing and swimming in the clear blue waters. He was a happy child, despite his difficult circumstances.
As he got older, Kuto’s life became more filled with dejection. He stopped going fishing and spent most of his time alone in his hut. His only companions were the chickens that wandered around the island. Kuto began to feel like he didn’t belong on the island anymore.
One day, Kuto decided to leave Cocos (Keeling) Islands for good. He packed up some supplies and set off into the unknown world beyond the island’s shores. It was a scary but exciting adventure for Kuto and he soon forgot about his troubles back home.
