Kuto’s life no. 594
Kuto was born in Mozambique, and his life was filled with disdain from the very beginning. His mother died shortly after his birth, and his father quickly remarried a woman who had no interest in raising Kuto as her own. As such, he was mostly raised by the servants of his father's household. Even they treated him poorly, though, always calling him names and making fun of his pompadour haircut and light grey hair color.
One day, when Kuto was about sixteen years old, he snapped. He went into town and got himself a Zappa-style beard, then came back home and announced that he was going to live his life on his own terms from now on. His stepmother laughed at him and told him that he would never amount to anything; but Kuto just smiled slyly and said that she would see.
He left Mozambique soon after that and traveled the world for many years. He had many adventures during this time – some good, some bad – but all of them helped to shape the man he eventually became: strong-willed, independent, and fiercely individualistic.
Eventually Kuto settled down in Morocco where he opened a successful business selling traditional Arabic clothing."
