Kuto

Kuto’s life no. 487

Kuto had always been a melancholy creature. He was born in the British Indian Ocean Territory, and his life was filled with sadness and loneliness. His only companions were the fish that he caught in the sea, and the birds that he watched fly overhead.

One day, Kuto's life changed forever. A shipwreck washed ashore, and on it was a crew of sailors. They were wounded and starving, but Kuto took them in and nursed them back to health. In return, they taught him how to read and write, introduced him to new foods and music, and showed him how to sail a boat.

Kuto's new friends soon left on their journey again, but they promised to come back for him one day. From then on, Kuto spent his days dreaming of sailing off into the sunset with them.

One day, his wish came true; the sailors returned for him! Overjoyed, Kuto set sail with them into the wide open ocean...
